The Date Is Set

In case you haven’t heard yet, it’s now official: the Power Beaming competition (part of the Space Elevator Games) will be held October 19-21 at the Davis County Event Center just outside of Salt Lake City, Utah. Qualifying rounds will start October 15th, so we need to leave town by October 14th. According to Google Maps, it’s about 830 miles from here to there, which is a much easier drive (we’re not going to send it freight, that’s for sure!) than if the competition were in Las Cruces, NM again.

October 15th means there are 77 days until the qualifying rounds begin. Which means we have a hell of a lot less time than that to be totally ready. Are we up to it? If you could see our team in action, you would say that we are.
