Mentions in the news for SE conference

There were a couple mentions of LaserMotive in the news Friday. Alan Boyle’s Cosmic Log column at MSNBC (“Will the space elevator rise?“) and Tom Paulson’s article in the Seattle P-I (“There’s no stairway to heavens? Take the elevator“) both reported on the space elevator conference going on this weekend in Redmond, WA, and happened to mention LaserMotive. Check out the articles for an overview of what’s happening at the conference. Steve Beland and I are both attending and giving presentations, but we can’t spend all of our time at the conference – we have to spend some time this weekend working on our LaserMotive system, because the competition is less than three months away!
